June 20th Star Party is ON!

The Star Party for 6/20/26 is ON! Clear skies are expected. A 38% illuminated waxing crescent moon will be visible in the western sky until around 11:00 pm or so and will make an excellent target for beginners learning to use their telescopes. Venus, Jupiter and Mercury will line up after sunset. Sunset is at 8:30 pm. Twilight ends at 10:39 pm.

Cool temperatures are expected, starting around 72°F at sunset and falling into the lower 60s as we approach midnight. Long pants and a sweatshirt or light jacket are recommended.

Insect repellant is recommended, but please apply well away from telescopes.

Check out our Star Parties page for directions and other helpful info.
