About the event

We are capping the event at 25 members. RSVP NOW BEFORE WE RUN OUT OF SPOTS!

We have arranged a special evening at the John J. McCarthy Observatory in New Milford, CT. We will be able to view through the Observatory's fantastic PlaneWave 17-inch Corrected Dall-Kirkham (CDK) telescope. WAA members interested in using their own instruments on the site may do so as well. A fine meteorite collection is on display at the observatory.

The program will begin at 6 p.m.

The facility is on Route 7 in New Milford, on the south west side of the New Milford High School grounds. From the intersection of I-684 and Route 35, the drive is about 35-40 minutes. Take I-684 north to I-84 east to Route 7. The Observatory is about 12 miles north of Danbury.
