As of 10/12, we are capping the event at 25 members. RSVP NOW BEFORE WE RUN OUT OF SPOTS!
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation will be holding their annual fund-raising "Spooktacular" Halloween event on October 25th, so we are unable to use the Meadow Parking Lot that evening for the previously scheduled star party.
Instead, through the energy of Eli Goldfine, we have arranged a special evening at the John J. McCarthy Observatory in New Milford, CT. We will be able to view through the Observatory's fantastic PlaneWave 17-inch Corrected Dall-Kirkham (CDK) telescope. WAA members interested in using their own instruments on the site may do so as well. JJMO also has several scopes on an outdoor sky deck. A fine meteorite collection is on display at the observatory.
