Scopes are needed for our annual outreach event with the Scarsdale School System's 3rd graders and their families on Monday, March 23rd (rain/cloud date Tuesday March 24th).
This is one of the great WAA events of the year, with hundreds of enthusastic attendees. We need at least 6 scopes, more are always helpful.
The event takes place at the Quaker Ridge School, on Weaver Street just east of the Hutchinson River Parkway. We set up in the parking lot off of Old Lyme Rd.
On 3/23, sunset is at 7:10 pm (EDT). Viewing should start around 7:30. The crescent moon will be an excellent target, as will Jupiter, the double star Castor and other objects.
If you can join us and have a telescope you can bring, please email us and let us know.
