We set up three telescopes on Mamaroneck Avenue (at the intersection of Palmer Avenue) to do sidewalk astronomy in the Dobson tradition on Saturday, June 7th. Conditions were fantastic with a clear sky, pleasant temperatures, an 8-day moon, Jupiter, Mars and Saturn. We were there from 8 pm to 11:15. At least 150 people, perhaps more, looked through the instruments, many having their first glimpse of celestial objects. We generated a lot of interest in the club.
